However, the impact of our organization is far more than simply providing underwear, socks and school uniforms to economically needy children. Principals, teachers and counselors emphatically state that the children and families are positively impacted and appreciative
Self-esteem increases when children are no longer embarrassed by dirty or ill-fitting clothes and fit in with their peers. Students are able to enter school immediately without having to miss classes while waiting for clothing. By bridging the economic gap, children are given an equal chance at achievement.
Attendance rates are increasing and academic progress is excelling — due in part to these simple acts of kindness. While the impact can be measured with facts and numbers, nothing relays the life-changing nature of our mission like the words of the children and educators themselves.
“I feel happy because I didn’t have any shirts and pants. My mommy doesn’t have money to buy. So I am happy to get clothes. Thank you, Angels Undercover for my clothes.” —Alina, 9 (4th grade)
“I have had the pleasure of watching the Angels Undercover grow from the ground up. They began with a handful of ladies, organized by Jackie Bennett, who wanted to make a difference in the lives of children. They did not want to see a child come to school without underclothes or socks. Their efforts grew so rapidly that they were able to expand. You can’t imagine the smiles on a students’ face when they know they can be provided with new and clean underclothes and school uniforms. They no longer have to be embarrassed about going to school with torn clothing and without socks or underclothes. Their name, “Angels”, is very fitting! We are truly blessed to have community members, like Angels Undercover, in our schools and community.”

“I am so happy for the clothes from Angels Undercover because I now have nice clothes like the other kids. Thanks.” —Kyla, 7 (2nd grade)
“We are so grateful for generous donations of school uniforms made by Angels Undercover. With over 95% of our children qualifying for free or reduced lunch, many of our families have an ongoing financial struggle. These school uniforms are treasured by our students and definitely increase their self-esteem. The efforts of Angels Undercover are truly appreciated. The students know there are members in the community who care about them and their education. Be assured that your donations make a difference in educating our children!”
